Choosing a distribution

Use a branded distribution with a verified signature and checksum for your exact SDK, architecture and operating system. These are glibc builds; distribution libraries are still required. Original archive checks do not imply package or container qualification. Older SDKs require separately recorded compatibility providers.

These are community builds, without Microsoft support. Construction details and any reused upstream binary inputs are recorded in the release evidence.

Package repositories and containers

Project-operated distribution channels. Verify the signing fingerprint using the signing policy before trusting a key. Only the displayed target combinations have passed their complete channel verification.

The distribution status (JSON) records verified availability. Package commands include a versioned command such as cbodotnet-10.0 and cbodotnet; containers also provide dotnet for the same SDK. Public launchers identify themselves as Community Build of .NET (built by .NET Dev), with the original numeric SDK version retained. See the CLI identity policy.
